ITINERARY

DAY 1: SILIGURI TO PHUENSHOLING (160 kms) (21st March, 2018)

Arrive in the border town of Phuensholing before 1 PM. We meet all the other riders over lunch. Relax for the rest of the day post a briefing about the road conditions and what to expect over the next 7 days of the Tour.

Breakfast not included.

DAY 2: PHUENSHOLING TO PARO (160 kms) (22nd March, 2018)

We get geared up early and first head to the Immigration office. For immigration into Bhutan, we have to be present and it cannot be done before hand for entry from Phuensholing. Our guide will get the permits done for our motorbikes meanwhile, and we are on our way out exploring this beautiful land soon after!

We begin the superb ride over curvy, winding roads towards the picturesque town of Paro, home to the famous Tiger's Nest Monastery. The 160 km stretch today can take 7-8 hours of riding time, thanks to approximately 10 curves per kilometre on this stretch. We have lunch enroute at a dhaba or at Phuensholing itself, and reach Paro by early evening.

The most stunning views from our rooms in the luxurious cottage of Paro, and we relax and unwind here.

DAY 3: AROUND PARO (23rd March, 2018)

We start very early towards the famous Tiger Nest Monastery today. This is definitely one of the highlights of our Tour of Bhutan! The trek up and back can take anywhere between 3-5 hours depending on the time we spend at the monastery and during the trek itself, but the sense of accomplishment one feels upon completing the trek is unlike anything in the world!

On our way back from the trek, we stroll through the beautiful market of Paro, which literally looks like a movie set!

DAY 4: PARO TO THIMPHU (50 kms) (24th March, 2018)

A short yet scenic ride from Paro brings us to the Capital city of Bhutan - Thimphu. After quickly freshening up, we head out to explore one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world- called Buddha Point, which is 162 feet tall, and has over a thousand smaller Buddha statues within it. We then stroll around the main clock tower area of Thimphu and watch the Bhutanese life go by!
